What do these transfers achieve ? They just add maybe half an hour of commute for them. They are keeping their existing ranks. If they had been transferred to Manipur or some naxalite area then it would be punitive.

Both central (bjp) and state (dmk) government seems pretty much corrupt and useless for general public. They are neither giving safety nor helpful to common people. 

At the end, it seems the ppl who vote for them dug themselves into a graveyard. 

Moreover I feel our judiciary should be made very strict and accused must be harshly punished so that the thugs will have some fear. Nowadays each and every corner of the city hearing news on murders for petty things.

Nowadays I feel like it's better to leave to some peaceful country instead of living here daily hearing some violent news.

Kannan was the north zone IG at the time of hooch tragedy of last year and kallakurichi school incident. 

Davidson was the intelligence DGP through first 2.5 years of DMK government and completely accountable for the open rift between law and order and intelligence that’s one the main reason behind police incompetence.

It's interesting because historically the non ips TN police cadre was disproportionately filled with castes which are natural supporters of admk. But, the current admk leadership is not from that power base and hence they were not getting any traction. 

Now it seems they have made some inroads into that power base, with the result being the loud crying that sattam ozhungu kettu pochu..

This action needs to be seen in that light.

The thing with tamilnadu law colleges is that they don't have a lot of diversity in them, whereas in nlus there's a whole spectrum of people who come from different backgrounds, different states etc, this really helps elevate your learning experience 

There are currently two well known government Universities in Tamilnadu , soel (school of excellence in law- Taramani), nlu Trichy

When you compare these two colleges nlu- Trichy leads in the educational front, but some prefer soel because of chennai exposure you can intern in huge firms, you can even work in high court and generally the quality of life is higher,but I've heard soel is a little harsh on examination and evaluations. And when you look at private colleges like SRM, VIT, sastra they have good infrastructure, quality etc but it's fifty-fifty when it comes to professors and they're not really that credible in the job market.

One general advice is this : Government colleges are usually better than private ones.

The hierarchy is as follows:

Central government colleges &gt; State government affiliated colleges (ex: Loyola, MCC) &gt; Private colleges. 

NLUs are better as they are incredibly diverse, teaching quality is good, and gives you good networking opportunities.
