Will he work for the people's justice or for the appeasement of the government. Only time will tell.
request the government to educate the courts and stop the judicial activism
What is the use.? Will he suspend Corrupted Judge? Law is for these top echleons not for Common man. Judiciary takes credit when gives verdict on sensational issues that too after many decades destroying Justice. Shame on Indian Judiciary, the custodian of Fundamental rights.
We do hope Justice Gavai will not be a 'tainted Judge' but be a worthy successor of incumbent CJI.
So now what? Indian all citizens will get Justice….
The state of the Supreme Court is very bad, you will not believe the things that happen over there.
Because india spends something like 0.08% of its GDP on judiciary. We get what we pay for.
The collegium system is fucked up. There is literally no accountability for the judiciary. For a fair system, we need to have judges be elected as well.
Totally. If u look at it, most of the supreme court judges are from 15 legal families since independence
The problem is also in the solution. Everytime the government brings in an alternative it is directed towards accumulating power in its own hands and removing the only single check we citizens have against the politicians.
In a country with population over 1.428 billion, why so many HC, SC judges are direct descendants of former judges?
Judiciary should remain independent for the protection of us citizens.
