And reservation milta hai judiciary exam mein. Aur lower court promotion mein bhi rahta hai reservation. 

It's like asking ki council of ministers mein reservation kyu nahi hai? COM mein reservation nahi hai kyuki it's higher pedestal than legislative. Abhi higher post mein agar reservation lagaege toh uske jaise log phir roege.

This is a classic demand and supply problem. There is a lot of demand for cases but low supply of courts. Govt has no incentive to build more courts. Private sector should be allowed to serve the pent up demand and open private courts.

Judges like every other public servant have targets to feed their own boss who in turn will feed the higher ups in judiciary or the government. Everyone is busy trying to achieve their targets and earn for their own in the process. Performance does not matter as long as you are pumping money in the right channels and there is absolutely no incentive to perform. You will be penalised if you try to be proactive. PERIOD. Alcohol is bad for health, it's a universal fact. The government knows this but still allows people to consume alcohol, coz democracy b\*\*ch. Still these businesses are not allowed to advertise/influence the public freely. (surrogate advertising)

Similarly, people can choose to change their genders, change their sex, f\*ck whomever they want, and marry people of any sex/gender this should be legal. 

But this isn't an exact science so people should not be allowed to influence other people/kids to change their genders etc. Until we have proper research that proves these absurd theories.

I don't disagree with you OP. But everything in India is based on nepotism. But I agree nepotism in general has to change, whether that be in SC , healthcare, big business etc. 

But I don't agree that only the Parliament should be able to elect SC. Judiciary should remain independent. Change the process, but don't make it so that the ruling party can decide everything. 

Because when the ruling party changes to someone you disagree with, you will not be able to get justice from a SC that is accountable only to the ruling party because they elected them. 

Judiciary should remain independent for the protection of us citizens.

Everytime the government brings in an alternative it is directed towards accumulating power in its own hands and removing the only single check we citizens have against the politicians. If they ever brought a solution which was fair alternative to this system but also ensured that judiciary remained totally independent, we(lawyers) would actually support it.

Sorry, but the nepotism in Supreme Court and that in Bollywood are different? For becoming a judge in Supreme Court you need to meet some qualifications which you have to earn by your own hard work. I don't discount the privilege that comes with being born in such families. However, the case in bollywood is totally different. If you are well connected, then you will find someone to launch you in a major film.

That being said, there is a problem in Supreme Court judges. Majority of judges come from a concentrated group of families which are mostly UC. That too, given the country is predominantly OBC, SC/ST. Somewhere, the education system that we develop is not working for the majority of population.
