In its annual report to Parliament, the Canadian Security Intelligence Service also identified China, Russia, Iran and Pakistan as the main perpetrators of foreign interference.

The report was tabled in Parliament on Friday but CSIS said it will not be published on its website until Wednesday, the day after the G7 concludes.

I don't think we should take this too seriously. Canada by its lonesome hardly matters to us - it is not a strategically important country. If they were being backed by the US and the Western countries, then maybe this would have been problematic. However, outside of a few words here and there, that's not been the case. The US just agreed to a 4 Billion USD predator drone sale to India and the French were just here as chief guests for the Republic Day parade.

The truth is Trudeau is dependent on the support of another party filled with many separatists. Not taking action on them for a separate state isn't an issue. They're not doing anything against the sovereignty of the country they're staying in. But at the same time it's very obvious that a lot of these elements are funding unrest and violence back in Punjab.
The statements for violence or beheading against the other Indian origin people of different religions and even the dignitaries are enough to get them persecuted by Canadian law but who gives a fuck when you have their votes.
There was a barrage of racial slurs against Indians just like in Ukraine while these elements added to it (as if a typical neo Nazi would find a difference between them and other Indians or South East Asians or other brown people or even potatoes)

And about the election interference, it might be a possibility considering it became important for India to have their eyes in Canada after a while. Or it may be just the ramblings of an outgoing politician. If it is it'll not be the first or last time any country tried to do that. 
When Modi was expected to sweep 2014, there were literal fatwas for the millitants in Pakistan to stop their activities in India so that the public feels safer and re-elected the Congress government. Every country tries to do what they can in their favour. But I doubt India has the required means to do it that far away in a western country or that they'll even benefit or loose from Trudeau getting re-elected or not.

Well, may-I-knock makes a lot of sense. 

Bharat has nothing to gain or lose with manipulating elections in Canada. I mean, it baffles me how any one can fall for this line. We have enough of our own homegrown issues to contend with than to go around influencing voters in Canada. Of course, if by 'influencing elections', Canadians mean Bharat is lobbying for a particular candidate or a party, then an answer to that requires no rocket science. Of course, Bharat would want Trudeau to get kicked out of office, Hell, I want that too....and I have no way to influence elections in Canada.

There are two more observations that I would like to share. One - It is fantastic to hear moral arguments being forwarded on this topic, since Trudeau spoke about it. I do not care what 'grandiose sense of freedom' one has in another country, if that 'grandiose sense of anything' causes violence or undermining of a similar sense of my country, and the originating country does nothing about it in spite of being requested to, then I reserve my right to survive and execute actions any way I choose. Two - The preservation of ones national interest is paramount in all situations internationally. By refusing extradition of the people wanted in connection with funding, handling and inciting of violence in Bharat, Trudeau indicated he did not care for Bharat's national interest. Well, GoB's actions showed, Modi does not care about Canada's interest either. 

In 1986, as part of a cultural exchange programme with Canada, the only time I got into a huge unresolvable argument with my Canadian counterpart, was on the issue of his patronizing moral tone and tenor of logic, when I discussed Bharat's actions based on realpolitik. I was convinced they did not understand it then and am sure they do not understand it even now.

We are two different cultures. We don't understand eachother's behaviour and psyche. 

In Canada, there is absolute freedom of speech and expression. They cannot simply arrest and deport people (Khalistan). To be honest, we do not have freedom in India and do not understand it. 

Canada doesn't understand Indian history, partition and security issues.
