Yes there is. Gaza is the most densely populated area in the world . So the argument is that Israel is less densely populated than Gaza but that the Israeli government gave permits to civilians to build homes next to military installations so therefore the military is not using them as human shields…they are using themselves as human shields? That argument works much better for Gaza defenses though.  Where are Israel’s nukes, biological and chemical weapons stored?

I’m fully aware that this may be an unpopular view, but in my opinion, I don’t believe India can balance ties with both countries in the long term. I believe this proxy conflict will only get worse, and it will reach a point were balancing ties with both countries will be near impossible. Given recent events, I would personally say that in the long term, India should focus on prioritising ties with Israel over Iran. From what I have seen, Iran appears to be an unstable actor that has created chaos in the region, and this chaos has been detrimental to Indian interests. Their proxy group in the Houthis have been repeatedly attacking ships in the Red Sea in an attempt to disrupt the flow of oil and hurt Israel, however this has inadvertently put India’s energy security at risk. The Houthis (or Iran) have now even gone as far as to attack a ship of the coast of India, which presents a dangerous violation of India’s security. Just recently a bomb blast took place near the Israeli embassy. While there is no evidence that Iran was behind this, it wouldn’t be the first time something like this has happened. A decade ago, there was an attempted terrorist attack on several Israeli diplomats which was foiled. Delhi police (in their investigation) made it clear that they viewed the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps as being behind the attempted attack (the IRGC denied this). All this indicates to me that Iran is so obsessed with attacking Israel that they were potentially willing to violate Indian sovereignty to do it. Along with this, the Islamic regime has shown that it is willing to interfere in India’s internal matters when India does not do as they please. When Modi visited Israel in 2017, the Supreme leader of Iran issued a statement urging muslims in Kashmir to “repudiate oppressors”, a clearly inflammatory statement that interferes in India’s internal matters and a clear indication that Iran wants India to pick a side in this conflict.

While it is good that we can still maintain good ties with both countries, the above incidents indicate to me that Iran is not a fully trustworthy country. In my view, if the proxy conflict continues to escalate, India should make a decisive shift away from Iran.

It's not something u can decide rn imo, the events are still unfolding and this moment nothing has bloomed out so India shouldn't spoil anything or any ties we have with iran if the current attacks did come from directly or indirectly India should respond with Israel in a proactive manner. For the proxies I would say, they aren't much of a concern for India, they don't target India - the only targeted ships were targeted due to israeli presence in it but the rest assured, Iran has no problem with India. We do however need to have a tough stance of deterrence so these attacks doesn't happen in the future and like I said if iran is responsible for the terrorist attack in Israeli embassy (which I don't think it is, it's too much of a trouble - probably some pro Palestinian idiot in our mist) and the attack on naval vessels..India should hold whoever the perpetrators are accountable and have a tough stance on it while taking necessary actions.

If Iran and Israel seriously go to war, Israel will win easily. Especially if they bring down the weight of US with them. We should hedge our bets accordingly
