I have been to jail for the same f***ing reason. It took me 24 days to get bail and come out. 
You’ll be put undertrial custody and you can do nothing about it. The cops were friendly to me and told me you’ll get bail easily but have to be there in jail for few days. I was i Himachal Pradesh. 
I dint met or talked to that b**ch for 10 months after we broke up still she put a case on me and i was arrested from Tamil Nadu(was working there) from my work place. And once you are arrested you cant do anything. Judge will put you in Judicial custody for 14 days because thats the procedure. After that you apply for bail and put your evidence and everything. 
So no matter if you are right or wrong, once you have a FIR section 376(B) (in my case) or 375 under your name you’ll be arrested and put under trial.

Your friend is not doodh ka dhula. He broke up with her because he thought long distance won't work.If he had plans to move out of the country to pursue masters, then why the F would he date a woman here ? Just for temporary pleasure? So he used her for sometime ? How can you be ok with this ?
