Yeah there was a video clip of Vivek Oberoi gifting a rolls royce to his mum and dad in front of their Dubai mansion. The video said something along the lines of “did ya know this Bollywood celebrity has a net worth of 1200 crores?” And I wondered why would a guy that rich put out a video of him buying a new car. For an up and coming entrepreneur , yeah a rolls royce acquisition might be something that warrants a celebratory PR worthy event but for someone with 1200 crores, it felt silly to put out a video of him receiving the vehicle and handing over the keys to his dad to do the first drive. Like it was obvious he wanted people to see and acknowledge his accomplishment! I have no clue what the reality is. He probably is very very rich. I am just speculating based on observation! I could be totally wrong so Vivek Oberoi fans don’t come at me. I have nothing against him! Also it’s Dubai, the rich there buy rolls like how we buy innovas (a cheap shit mini van used as a cab) here. so not anything worthy of advertising on sm!

I remember after the success of Shootout at Lokhandwala which was co-produced by Suniel Shetty and Ekta kapoor, they were making Mission Istanbul for which they signed Vivek. At that point in time, his dad was managing him, and shortly after the shooting for Mission Istanbul started, he asked his dad to demand more money from the producers than what he himself had earlier agreed to do the film for. An enraged Suniel decided to throw him out from the movie following which Vivek quickly apologized to Shetty, and threw his dad under the bus, claiming that he was unaware that his dad went behind his back, and demanded more money. 

There was also an incident where he went on Indian Idol with Fardeen Khan to promote Pyare Mohan back in 2006 something, where he refused to shoot, and threw a tantrum just cause he wanted a sandwich and shake specifically from Subway, and halted the shoot until his demands were met. Guy was, and is, a total jackass in real life.

Most of what OP has posted can be corroborated by my sources too. His marriage to Priyanka was a proper arranged marriage because his career was practically over and nobody was willing to touch him (physically and metaphorically). Suresh Oberoi has respect and good network so he pulled some strings. He wanted to take a back seat and let Vivek become a star but Vivek was arrogant about his looks and acting from the very first day, and had a very bad reputation for work ethic. He felt that dating Aishwarya was an achievement and used to show off his 'girlfriend' all the time.

the problem with Vivek and the other star kids like Abhishek is that they are brought up like Raja Betas and end up being very spoiled with a nauseating attitude! They have the attitude of superstars when they are not even worthy of being called a star!

I dont understand how the sons become like this when their fathers started from scratch, out of nothing, and have put hard work and sweat in their work to reach where they are. On top of that, one success their kids experience is like if they became nobel prize winners. 

I remember Suresh became the host of Jeena Hai - that show about stars and their lives...Vivek was the star one episode after delivering just two films. The whole family was gushing about him while those who worked with him, like Shaad complained he would come in very late to work on the sets, don't know where he would go before that. As if Vivek was a know-it-all and had no value for the time of his colleagues. 

No wonder, no one speaks fondly of their time working together with him. 

Only after the downfall that he had to put up a humble image.

P.S. I believe the bedroom secrets he was spilling was just a show off on his part. Dude was engaged before but acted like Aish was the first girl he fell in love with!

He gave the press conference in 2003. Appeared on Koffee with Karan in 2005 with John Abraham, and said his press conference was very warmly received by Aishwarya Rai.

Later when she broke up with him, he's gone around telling people that the person he did the press conference for didn't appreciate it and that it ruined his life etc etc.

Vivek screwed up his own movie path. Salman wasn’t a part of that. Infact, Salman’s own brother Arbaaz worked in a film starring Vivek. Sanjay Dutt, Ritesh, Ajay worked with him, all quite close to Salman. They would not have done that if Salman had an issue. This whole narrative that Salman spoilt his career is wrong.

Is it just me who wants to see Salman in SLB film? Salman is a directors actor and can act really well when he puts efforts. As an audience,loved him in Tere naam, Sultan, Bajrangi, Tiger franchise and Kyon ki. Sallu should stop taking his audience for granted and should do meaty roles. I'd love to see him in Harvey Spectre-ish/Mad men/Godfather kinda roles. He is naturally charismatic in that sense. I understand him doing trashy films to sustain his family's livelihood, but man he can experiment at least in a few films. We all have grown up watching Partner, Ready, Wanted etc. This is a golden time for actors, audience is very accepting.

But if Slb only wanted Salman then  that should have been made right after Bajrangi Bhaijaan with a fresh face . All of this is true, but Ash isn’t a saint. She was responsible in breaking Rani &amp; Vivek’s friendship after a super hit Saathiya, which Ash was insecure about. I had seen them at Calcutta airport and Vivek was very very caring towards Rani (who was distraught abt a family incident and crying). Ash did exact her revenge on Rani by ruining her friendship with Vivek, and her budding romance with Abhishek. Ash is no saint, she’s very vindictive and insecure about other actresses, but this sub loves putting her on a pedestal just cuz she’s beautiful.

Whenever people talk about how shitty he is, I felt frustrated no one acknowledged his violence on Aishwarya. Isn't he the major reason why her career plummeted? (There's a long running rumor that an actress was taken to the hospital straight from an actor's bedroom because her nipple had been ripped off. The belief in my circles is that the actor is Salman and actress Aishwarya - though we don't know the truth this story made me even more cynical about these filmstars and rich cinema moguls talk about social justice)

And he's a proper creep. After his breakup with Aish, he found a young college girl (Sneha Ullal?) who was her look alike for a movie which luckily flunked. And I think it was when his relationship with Katrina Kaif ended that he brought a look alike of her (Zarine Khan?) 

Recently, there is a different pitchfork mob that seems to want him meet his consequences, not for the sake of justice but because of his religion. That's even more frustrating.

Salman gave an interview where he equated his working out to get in shape for a film to be as rough as getting raped. His exact words- when I left the gym after working out, I felt like a raped woman walking. He refused to apologise for this comment and when his co-star Anushka Sharma apologized for it, rumours are that it offended Salman and he doesn't want to work with her ever again. 

He constantly decides people's careers in the industry. There is a particular singer he doesn't like and Salman has time and again tried to get him blacklisted so he doesn't get work. The singer went so far as to publicly apologise to Salman on his Facebook page but to no avail. 
Also, he is responsible for the end of Vivek Oberoi's career. Vivek being his ex Aishwarya's new boyfriend. 

He gave an interview where he said that he didn't shoot the black bucks but someone else did and he tried to be the bigger man and take the blame on his head. A lot of his fans believe this theory and that's why the support. 

There are also reports that he slapped another one of his girlfriends - Katrina Kaif on the sets of a film, in full public view because he thought the dress she was wearing was too short. 
Salman's father gave an interview where he said Salman's breakups happen because he's a traditional guy and he expects women to cook and clean for him which doesn't happen and he gets angry. 

This is his personal choice but at any given point of time, Salman is usually linked up with multiple actresses. Maybe he's polyamorous but there's obviously a power imbalance there as all these girls are probably giving consent in hopes of a movie..
He has given an interview where he said that he cheated on his ex Sangeeta Bijlani just days before their wedding. Again, not a crime but just shitty behaviour.

He is the wooooooorst and on top of everything, has never played a character in a movie that I didn't hate (except Kuch Kuch Hota Hai because everyone else in that movie is so terrible). Bollywood please stop making excuses for this man!!!
