And in a group like BRICS, which was already the pinnacle of contradictions, adding so many new members so far left it with no time to find common points. I suspect this failure is the first of many. For India, I think four-way groupings (no kink) are the sweet-spot: I2U2 and the Quad have proven to be surprisingly good.

Expanded Brics has hollowed the group. I can understand Iran but why Venezuela. Even without sanctions , it would not be anywhere close to a promising economy among emerging economies
