This is drainage issue. The lack of road drainages is what's causing this shit. Look at European countries. Rain falls there like almost everyday. If there's a good working drainage system, such rivers wouldn't even occur.

Back in the day, Bharat, Telangana and ABVP bandhs were more responsible than weather events for school closures.

Seeing people drop water bottles, plastic covers on the road from cars and bikes has become much more common. I saw a guy from a passenger seat in a Mercedes throw a bottle out on the road. So until we as people don’t change our ways, I don’t think any of these matters will solve because mostly drainage issues are happening because of water clogs caused by plastic, then there is poor design of drainage in many areas.

It’s not climate change or anything. 

Hyderabad always receives good amount of rain in months of June, august, September. 
Apart from that, short bursts of rain in mid-May is common. 

Not sure when it rained in peak winter but it’s not that common.
