I've always found the idea of *blood money* a bit conflicting, and so did most people I spoke to. 

Now that it's being used to save the life of a fellow countrymen, does it mean that *blood money* has tacit approval as a concept amongst Indians?

She should've received the death penalty. If this continues then more and more Indians will get away with such crimes. Imagine a Yemen citizen chopping someone in India and then walking free to her country. Indians would be outraged. Some people will even try to kill her. Such an immature move by the Indian government.

Rahim got his death sentence revoked even if he was accused of murdering a Saudi. It was found to be an accident. So is this case. Nimisha intended to drug the guy so she can get back her passport and escape. But it went wrong. In Nimisha’s case, I think the relatives asked for blood money too (around 8 cr), but I didn’t see any crowdfunding campaign. The cases are very similar, but the countries are different. India has better relations with Saudi. 

Also, I feel people here were more empathetic towards Rahim than Nimisha. Don’t know why. Many are justifying Nimisha’s case saying she killed the Yemeni, but so did Rahim. He killed a Saudi boy. So why’s that he gets sympathy whereas Nimisha doesn’t? If efforts are being made to rescue her, I’m all for it. I hope Indian govt is successful in this.
