I'm not sorry they're dead. I doubt very much that they would have been punished appropriately under the law considering how women are always blamed for the horrors that men do to them. Also, it looks like there are three different names for her between what you wrote and your sources. I lived and worked in places like this. I'm not saying at all that these men were innocent in this situation, but just highlighting that sometimes the suspects are just poor, uneducated people who are easy targets themselves for cops looking for a quick solution. The cops will dust them off (or they'll sell the suspects to the victims family and they'll do it), case closed.  The cops are sometimes the perpetrators themselves in these places, and they just hang it on whoever. The majority of the world, once you move outside of these little bubbles we live in of supposed freedom and fairness, is not fair at all, and justice is more than most can afford.

Since true legal justice is so rare and fleeting, I believe this is the best justice the victims could ever get. It sounds like they were shot which is MUCH more humane and merciful than being kidnapped, gang raped, murdered, and torched, like they did to so many of their victims. They deserved worse.  

If street justice is what it takes to rid the world of these monsters and to protect everyone in society, then so be it. These were serial killers with significant evidence against them, and they raped and murdered multiple innocent victims who died horrible, agonizing deaths. The absence of these monsters makes the world a better place.

With solid evidence I don’t see any problem with eliminating them from society. The burden of proof should be extremely high though to avoid killing innocents. For that reason alone I wouldn’t be part of vigilante justice. I’m to afraid to get the wrong guys.

The only thing that concerns me about this is I hope they didn’t die quickly. They deserved to suffer in their last moments, just like poor Disha must have done. 

We recently had a very similar case in the UK, except it was only one guy. He planned out a premeditated abduction and rape and then burned the victim after. He got life without parole (which is very very rare here) but he’s being kept in isolation, so although I doubt that’s pleasant, he’s physically safe, getting three meals a day, free medical and dental care whenever he needs it, undoubtedly free psychiatric care too. Imo (and I know this is an unpopular opinion) but sometimes just being in jail isn’t enough. The perpetrators should be in constant pain and fear every moment of the rest of their lives. You forfeit your human rights the second you deprive someone else of theirs.

My problem with the extra-judicial killings is that the family deserved to have this case heard in court, and the public NEEDS to have evidence of this happening all too often shoved in their faces every time it does happen. This has me a little torn. On the one hand, I see the heavy handed way LE in the US treat people and am abhorred, yet on the other I too often see monsters like this not receiving proper justice. I know I should be against what happened here, but I can't make myself empathetic to them. 

As a side note, I feel rape is treated far too leniently and genuinely believe it is the most heinous crime. Rapists should receive life sentences, IMHO, but I also wonder if that would entice rapists to murder more often? Rapists are the lowest form of life and to murder that poor woman is plain inhuman. 'Encounter killings' are common in some places, in the United States they are just getting started.

After a killing like that the public should examine the original evidence carefully to make sure the killing was not to cover something else up.

Any killing that is justified 100% at the time of the crime becomes less justified as time passes.

So if the victim had been able to kill the attackers it would have been 100% justified, but as time passes less so.

Killing prisoners is never justified, no matter what they have done.

The fact that the police are hired specifically to arrest criminals, in other words they serve a civilizing function in a melting pot of mixed clans, makes it problematic when they kill people instead of arresting them.

That kind of justice is only applied to 'other' clans. The police officers involved would not use that tactic on their own clan.

To some extent I am happy that they are dead but I can’t help but feel the Indian judicial system needs more improvement regarding this kind of crimes. I also wonder if it would have been dragged on like the Nirbhaya case or completely forgotten after some time like Asifa’s case

Convicts are minors, our shithole laws will put them in juvenile home for some time and then they'd be out again to commit crime as adults.
