Police said it had nothing to do with Khalistani extremism... no terror charges, no political motive. CSIS has never said Pakistan’s spying agency is backing these groups in Canada. That part was made up. The Sikh referendums here are legal, and no one running them has been charged with promoting violence. 

Even the UK report they quoted has been called out by MPs and watchdogs for being biased junk, and the UK government backed away from it. Canada already bans real terror groups like Babbar Khalsa. But lumping in peaceful Sikh groups just because you don’t like their politics? That’s lazy and dangerous. What about free speech? If we care about national security, we need facts, not foreign propaganda dressed up as journalism.

Obviously.  Palestinian terrorist groups have operated with relative impunity in the west for decades, particularly on campuses.

Hundreds have been shut down for funneling millions to terrorists but they just pop up with new names.

The freedoms of expression and religion of the west are seen as weaknesses to be exploited.  The Islamic brotherhood has written about this a fair bit and about how martyring Palestinians is a key factor in infiltrating the west and destabilizing while undermining support for Israel to get the west/democracy out do the region.  They prey on the west’s love of the oppressor/oppressed narrative, weaponizing the subconscious belief in white supremacy to present and infantilized Palestine and erase the Islamic colonial history or erasure and our assumptions of values we project along with the false assumption that other cultures will simply erase themselves if given “opportunity” and money.

I can’t really say they’re wrong, these aspects of our culture can clearly be exploited to their benefit and have been extensively over the last few decades.

I mean we already knew that given the mass public celebrations after Oct 7th, the amount of Union leaders/staff that publicly celebrated Oct 7th, and the Hamas flag at a union protest. The progressive left has a lot of good going for it, but it tends to ignore the bad/stupid. The right is obviously no better. There's a reason the mob/rebellion tends to ignore looting, rape, etc. because usually as long as someone is on "your side" you don't care. The amount of families that were executed/raped in mass during communist revolutions is quite sickening.

Realistically few Pro-Palestinian protestors are willing to condemn Hamas even though they are worse than Israel (that's not something up for debate). Which really makes me wonder whether all these protests blocking streets/bridges are independent or if they are financed/backed by Iran/Hamas/Hezbollah. But I think the biggest question in my mind is why aren't we using the Emergency Act to freeze their bank accounts instead of letting them constantly block streets/bridges. I support the right to protest legally, not to randomly block traffic and annoy people to get attention like a petulant child.

Edit: Want to add that this reminds me of Greenpeace where the minority of idiots got the majority to go along with blocking clean nuclear power at a time where we were mass building plants. In the end the minority can control the majority of any movement because people are willing to go along with those on "their" side.
