Have interviewed with two such companies in last one month. Both times interviews went well through to 2-3 rounds, even went down to meet the team of one of the orgs. But somehow they didn’t convert. And yesterday I felt so relieved that it didn’t work out. Perhaps I got saved by the universe again after going through 2 layoffs in last six months. Idk if it’s a good sign or not. I never worked in a real money betting company because it’s not my cup of tea, but banning anything that people themselves are responsible for may seem like saving tons of lives, but a couple of points to remember is that

1) Those who are addicted to gambling will still gamble.
2) Those people who are gambling are responsible for themselves. Banning everything that the citizens have a possibility of misusing is just a sign of how weak our societal construct is when it comes to financial management, self control and taking responsibility. Ban them from doing so, they’ll go and do the same thing else where. 
3) Taxing these gaming companies heavily and using gambling money to educate school children to learn these values would have been a much better outcome 

Also those with this knowledge, please start applying to other companies. Your tech skills is very valuable, trust me

Will this affect micro transactions in games as well. I don't expect any bill released by the govt to work as intended. Betting apps games will probably soon find a workaround. They might even be lobbying for this bill. It will require some sort of license that's hard to aquire which will in fact cut competition.

That being said, the larger funded players will figure out some tactic/loopholes to potentially circumvent this (say something along the lines of 'compensation for building successful strategy' with monthly payouts); the smaller ones will end up bearing the brunt

"Major Indian Creators" who were making tons of money promoting these gambling apps, instead of some useful product. 

Creators like Pelvis Gadhav, Harsh Benten,Poora Ja and many other creators.

I usually won't appreciate any govt, but appreciate my state Telangana Government to be the first state to ban apps and jail the creators promoting these apps. 

By having the knowledge of the state governments stringent rules, some creators like: 

1. Bayya Sunny Yadav a telugu YouTuber minted money since lockdown promoting these apps and recently he was jailed.

2. A Telugu Heroine was also under custody after she promoted a gambling app.

And who could forget the Comedy King Samay Raina,
