You do NOT play around the police in the US, even in liberal strongholds like NY CA and IL. They are very trigger happy, considering its a society saturated with guns. I wonder why they miss this crucial piece of cultural knowledge even after living there for years.

This was news when it happened. 

Apparently the police claim that when they entered the residence he was on top of someone ready to stab them and was not complying with the officers.

He also was jobless for around a year as well.

Have to wait for body cam footage to understand what happened but if what they say is true then the officers had no choice. Taser is that situation is not feasible as the body tightens up and he could end up stabbing the victim anyways.

&gt; On September 3, 2025, at approximately 6:18 A.M. Santa Clara Police Department (SCPD) officers responded to the 1800 Block of Eisenhower Drive in Santa Clara for the report of a stabbing in a residence. The caller stated the suspect had stabbed one victim in the residence.
SCPD officers arrived, encountered the suspect, and were involved in an Officer Involved Shooting. The suspect was transported to a local hospital where they were later pronounced deceased. The victim was transported to a local hospital and is being treated for their injuries.

It's not that people don't want to call the police...
But common people like us are scared of  facing the unnecessary hassle from police and Indian legal system after calling the police..like unnecessary time wastage at police stations and due dates of court hearings..etc...
Being from a working class it's just not possible to go to unnecessary police station visits when you are not even required there..

Maybe they did and kept recording for proof as well, considering it might take a while for police to reach the spot. 

Besides, this proof is much more important. For finding these criminals AND during court when they need evidence. 

Finally, if you listen to the audio of the video, the cameraman near the end does say to his companion to call the police from his phone. So I'm pretty sure they did.

US police isn’t waiting for you to put the knife down. As soon as a weapon is in picture and sight , subject is down , no questions asked. It’s literally their law.

I’m a self proclaimed GOD , that doesn’t make me a GOD , just a Muslim living in USA jobless and hasn’t paid rent over 3 months when the roommate asked for the rent to be paid or vacate he stabbed him instead of accepting his incompetence and moving back to India

In India, the guy would have hacked his roommate, destroyed the evidence, gone in hiding, recruited shady lawyers in case he is implicated. If at all he would be caught after months because of our famous police efficiency he will get bail due to lack to be evidence, inability of police to frame charges. In the whole period the immediate relatives of the victim would be threatened and forced to withdraw case.
    In US the 911 emergency system and promptness of the police saved a life and eliminated one bad guy. That is the story.
