Well! It's a very classic encounter with police not only just in kolkata but to a great extent overall the country. But yes the Bengal police is much much more violent than others! Thousands of such incidents happening on daily basis... The people have accepted that these are 'lisence wala gunda'. One of my friend's life is destroyed by these mfs...  Mfs stopped him in a signal... Demanded cash but he refused and asked for online challan... The MFs didn't issue any challan rather seized his bike... Later on the same night, he went to the police station and argued with them... He was alone... And guess what... Hola! He's in jail on a non bailable charge of NDPS!  My suggestion to everyone, in India, wherever you're, don't try to be sigma &amp; start fighting for fundamental rights... You may end up in hell... And don't expect anything from the judiciary... These are colonial institutions.. meant to 'punish' not to do 'justice'...!  And one more thing... . I may get hatred for this ... But a
 simple "level 3 helmet" will help you to avoid these instantaneous attacks from these MFs.... Not everywhere but in Bengal it works fine... Or have contact with political figures.. only those 3rd grade politicians can F these MFs .. Hope you're fine &amp; learnt your lesson.

Rajasthan is notorious for casteism and racism. The anti lower caste hatred, the judgemental values of purity, veg vs nonveg, parda, patriarchy, inability to appreciate and assimilate with other cultures and their cuisine makes Rajasthan a historically regressive culture. Sure there are good people everywhere, it is about how well a region's people intermix with people of different cultures. And Rajasthani people (especially the upper caste) do not intermix and double down on caste violence (saying this as un uppercaste myself). This makes it a suffocating place that has everything nice and shiny until you decide to explore your individuality and you realize you are being judged and ostracized.
