Sections 80, 100 and 101 of the Representative of People Act, 1951 provide clear remedy for election fraud through petition before the High Court. 
The Bombay HC dismissed petition about irregularities about assembly election in Maharashtra in November 2024, because the petitioner had no locus standi; he had called for annulment of election process for all 288 seats, providing no proof whatsoever.

If the party genuinely believes fraud happened in Karnataka, why aren’t they filing the petition before the Karnataka HC? We have seen their allegations didn’t stand scrutiny in case of EVMs and Rafale, both of which were debunked in the SC.

This is a serious charge. And If these allegations indeed are true, it hits right at the roots of the democracy. So they should take proper route instead of indulging in gimmicks.

ECI is the most incompetent body in terms of generating id cards. They can't generate id cards with personal details mentioned correctly on them. I am not trying to go off topic but one of the reasons why we see people with random addresses and age as exposed could be because of that incompetency of ECI.

In my point of view ECI should rectify the issues they have with their system. Maybe after that we can delve better into how much of the data was fake and how much wasn't.

You can correct me if I am wrong!
P.S. : Maybe for new voters it wouldnt be an issue as they can apply for it electronically. I dont really know.

Even if someone’s name shows up more than once on the voter list, it’s not like they can just keep voting. Party workers sit in the booth all day with their own list, polling staff check your ID, mark the official roll, and put indelible ink on your finger before letting you vote. EVMs only take one vote per verification. Sure, a corrupt local official could collude to allow bogus votes, but the Election Commission’s process has enough safeguards that large-scale fraud would be illegal, leave a trail, and be very risky. Not everything Rahul Gandhi shouts from the rooftops is automatically the gospel truth.

I am going to write a slightly long comment to share my experience as a once BJP supporter and now active opposer of them. I hope some of you would read it. 

The biggest robbery BJP has done so far is to rob the freedom of the andhbhakts. They have their intellect compromised .They are incapable of criticizing BJP. The party has succeeded in making foot soldiers for free of cost who would work to bully others who question corruption. 

This has never been the case before. Whenever some scam used to come out, the whole public irrespective of party affiliations would signal their protest against the government. 

I myself supported BJP for 18yrs. I used to bunk school in election counting days hoping for BJP victory. And I have seen Vajpayee become PM .But I was not a stooge of the party. Nation first. And in demonitization I have seen how evil BJP was. From that time I have been against BJP and its myriad ways of destroying the very country and its institutions. 

In the last 9yrs of active and passive opposition to BJP, this is what I have understood of the bhakts. It is futile to argue with them or hope for changing them. Their brains are slaves to BJP.  And BJP ensures that they remain that way by peddling lies, mocking opposition, bombarding them with convincing lies through news, posters, movies, social media through their IT cell. They spend thousands lf crores to maintain an image, to brainwash people continuously. 

And that should give a clue to what BJP is afraid of the most - they are afraid of questions, they are afraid of logic, they are afraid of truth, and rationality. They are afraid of accountability. And those are the things people should keep doing it. Just ignore the trolls and bhakts .Half of them are paid to do it. The loudness is there for people to feel despair , that opposition does not matter. that it is a lost cause. And that is what we should defy. Speak out. Even if we are the only ones speaking. But we are not the only ones. There are crores of them who see through the lies and corruption of BJP . That is our duty to the country, and to the people ( including bhakts) . We owe it to the freefom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the freedom and country we have.

I was looking at how Chief Election Commissioner is appointed, and saw that it is by a panel of three - PM, LOP, and Union Cabinet minister.

With this form of appointment, it is obvious that CEC is most likely subservient to ruling party because of 2/3 voting.
