I don't agree with you on the account for clubs. It's a much more complex system on the backend than you can imagine and while it may ultimately be the director's responsibility, its not their fault since they do not look after the day to day operations of accounts. It's, in fact, the 3 executive managers who do and manage them. Moreover, for the amount of work that goes into it, the BoD is not paid nearly enough. They also do not get any overtime worked, and you absolutely need to work more than the prescribed hours to even meet basic expectations. I wouldn't work that much anyway for a job that pays double what they get paid anyway, so I can't blame them for it and that's why I never participated. 

I do agree with you on the fact that the UVSS is a deeply flawed and broken organisation that is deeply colonial in its operations and activities. It's built that way and is almost impossible to change without changing 2 very important things, 1) some staff that has been with the organisation for many years and refuse to change or be flexible. 2) restructuring the org to have a direct line of communication between the board and the other staff who work in the building. 3) paying ppl a livable wage to see the work accomplished in actuality. The issue? To get this in order, it takes someone who isn't term-limited to carry out these structural changes, and the current upper management has no incentive to change the status quo, and effectively, the board cannot do anything except for terminate them, which comes with its own set of legal potholes. That's my analysis.
