On one hand we pay for the rockets to fire from Ukraine into Russia, but we also sponsor the rockets going the other way. It is insane. 


Our politicians are not able to sell a higher priced energy to their constituents and hence we are in this situation.


And it is not just Hungary and Slovakia, my own country, the Netherlands also imports LNG from Russia, so does Belgium, France and others.

I question why the rest of the refining capacity hasnt been targeted yet???  if there are still corners of Europe holding on to sourcing gas from Russia,  let them face the consequences.  We should have provided the means for Ukraine to shut down Russian oil.  If Russia lashes out,  its a product of their own doing.  We have approached this whole thing with white gloves and its sickening that Russia is essentially nuclear terrorists at this point;  its the only thing stopping them from receiving multiple punches in the face.  It should of always been gloves off and letting them decide if they wanted to take it to escalation nuclear or conventional.  Its untenable to allow the world to operate like this. Proxy wars and terrorism,  nuclear blackmail,  imperial expansion,  assasinations and poisonings,  torture,  authoritarianism,  nationalism that affects neighbors sovereignty,  how the powers that be consider this at all acceptable is beyond me.  Even if you subscribe to the need to balancing out superpowers,  this is a pretty evil and immoral path the "East" is taking versus the West.

India called his bluff and then went on to conference with China and Russia, a big FU to the U.S.; he can’t handle that India didn’t give in to his bullying tactics. He knows it won't happen. Many European countries to some extent still get oil that originates from Russia, some NATO members are more willing to appease Russia like Hungary. Also this gives him an easy out even though it's obvious to say he tried but Europe didn't want to comply. He's doing everything he can to not exert direct pressure on Russia. I highly doubt he will ever do anything to Russia except words, words, words. He's a man of words, not of action.
