America is also delaying engines to India's fighter jet , hoping to sabotage their entire program so that the only option for them is to buy American fighter jet . So they are looking for partnership with France's Safran and UK's Rolls Royce.

The other comments leave out that turkey is develoğing their own engine right now and the us built engines (that are not being delivered) are for the first 20 planes only including for flight tests etc. 

Afaik turkey has 2 engines already one of which was used in the first flight. 

Idk how much the 2 engines are going to be enough if not for production but at least for developement. If and how much developement would be stunted by the engines not being delivered since the serial production of the plane is planned for 2030 and the turkish engines is 2032.

This is not good. It will delay the Kaan fighter, but it will delay, not stop the programme. Turkey can agree to the deal with Rolls Royce for the EJ200 without the transfer of IP, or they can get an engine from Russia or China. It won't be the same, but it won't be the end of the programme. It will make the relations between Turkey and the USA even worse than they are.

Its another proof that we should reduce reliance on US tech as much as we can.  By making this decision US Congress is sending clear massage to not buy American arms ever. What is the point if they wont produce needed parts in Europe and can revoke their assent any second because for example Putin offered them nice deal on rare earth minerals.

Makes sense they would block the engine being used in a future 5th Gen competitors to maximize the F35 sales. Turkey has enough spare engines to produce 20 KAAN. This would buy it time to switch to a Chinese or Russian equivalent class engine or a locally produced knock-off until the TF-35000 engine is ready. The TF-6000 was already successfully tested.

Funny thing is both WS-10 and F110 in question here have the same root, from GE's F101. WS-10 came by in a round about way from CFM56, a civilian high by pass development of F101.

Just going to go on a limb here and say it's not going to do much to deter KAAN. All it will do is ensure Turkey makes something indigenous perhaps in collaboration with Rolls Royce who have already offered their services.

WS-10 probably is a no-go for both Turkey and China. Even it may happen, China won't agree on any technology or production transfer, and any Kaan export with WS-10s will need China's approval.

The better solution is to seek AL-41 or AL-31 from Russia.

You got a source for this, or is this a hope? I don't see any announcements on English sourced channels. With the new and upgraded F-16s this would represent an enormous +120 fighter unit increase for the Turkish AF. Also, assuming a production run of 2028-2040, that's approximately 20 units each year. Unless they get massive export orders, the production line will close rather fast.

Very cool, but like other 5th gens, they're behind the F35 in terms of tech and numbers. The F35 is not in development, it's already been mass produced in the hundreds and is used all over the world. By the time any other 5th gen fighter catches up, the U.S. would've already started mass productiong 6th Gen fighters. It's how the U.S. maintains air superiority. Only one that stands a chance to upend that is China.

Turkey built F-16 under license, so obviously they were already taught how to build fighter jets. Just looking at a plane tells you nothing about it. The design of this aircraft is simply a copy paste of the F-22. But what about everything else? Is the skin radar absorbent (highly doubt)? Is there true sensor fusion? Are the avionics on par with Western systems? Is the electronic warfare advanced...etc.

China - which is ages ahead of Turkey in terms of tech - is still thought to be 10-20 years behind the US with the design of its top fighters, so you can imagine where Turkey is.
