I haven’t had the opportunity to read through the specifics of the proposal but not only did Hamas reject it, they’re throwing out threats so if Israel continues and pushes harder and more people die how can one continue to point a finger at Israel? There is no reliable evidence that the ratio of civilians is 83%. The 83% is a deliberate misinterpretation of an anonymous source that was made by a famous anarchist  Israeli activist, and echoed by the usual suspects (leftist media in the EU, Qatari news outlets, and the likes of those). 

It’s clear that Hamas lost most of its combatants since the war began. It’s clear they lost most of its strength. It’s also clear that they have recruited more people, and it’s clear that those new recruits are untrained and that they’re also suffering high casualties. Israeli estimated Hamas’ deaths at 20,000, minimum. This would suggest the civilian to combatant ratio is 1:1.5. And I think it’s more than 20,000 dead terrorists.

So, theocratic governments run the public school system and much of the private schooling is through Mosques, and what they teach is that Jews are inferior beings.

Those who say it is Islam don't understand how Israel is structured.  From day one, everyone is defined by their ethnic group. Until 2010, on their ID cards. Israelis were either Jews, Druze, Arabs, or Other.  In Israel, an Arab is an Arab first.  Arab people go to the same schools whether they are Christian or Muslim. Most of the Christian schools in Israel are founded by Arabs, and most of the students are Muslim.  The notion that Israel thinks in terms of religion first before ethnicity doesn't understand that the Jew vs Arab dichotomy is built within their society.

Why don't they call it the Muslims Jewish War, but the Arab-Israeli conflict?  Israel's official term for the expulsion of Jews isn't expulsion of Jews from Muslim Lands, but expulsion of Jews from Arab nations and Iran.  If they say Muslim, that would include many Muslim countries that didn't expel Jews, like Turkey and Azerbaijan.

The Egyptians and Jordanians know that they could easily be in the Palestinians' shoes, since they are fellow Arabs. I would say Jordanians and Egyptians are more likely to feel that way than an Algerian or a Saudi. Anti-semitism / anti-Israeli sentiment among Christian Lebanese is higher than among Egyptian Muslims, and not much lower than that of Muslim Lebanese. 

I have read enough Israeli viewpoints that in the Middle East, Jews &gt;  Kurds &gt; Iranians &gt; Turks  &gt; Arabs.   The Arabs are at the lowest rung.  If a Kurd kills Jews, it's ultimately the fault of the Arabs since they brought Islam to the Kurds. All the other ethnic groups in the Middle East are victims and have no agency themselves. The Persians aren't responsible for the Islamization of South Asia; rather, it is the fault of the Arabs, despite Persian being the primary language for Islamic scholars in South Asia until the 18th century.

My impression is that to the average Arab, Palestine is a heroin dealer little brother and Israel is a cop kicking him in the kidneys. The "peace deals" are practical political solutions in the current circumstances where Israel due to US support is too strong. There is this theory, and I heard this one around many times that as the area was conquered once by the Arabs, they consider it part of their sphere, and as such they are unwilling to to relinquish it. Furthermore, even in this sub, I had discussed it with Muslims and they say there are a couple of areas where, according to them, Mahoma did this or that so it would be "sinful" to let it go. Leaving aside the fact that curiously Mahoma did whatever he did over the Jews most important temple which they would never ever relinquish their ownership... it is difficult to approach this conflict rationally for most of the reasons behind them are much politically, emotional, and even religious.
