SIA raids *Kashmir Times* Head Office, Conducts Searches; Recovers Arms &amp; Ammunition and seizes digital devices and incriminating material 

Jammu , November 20,2025

SIA J&amp;K today conducted raids and searches at the head office of the daily *Kashmir Times* situated at Residency Road Jammu. The searches conducted in presence of Executive Magistrate were carried in continuation of the investigation into the case registered against the media house  Kashmir Times / kashmirtimes(.) com for their involvement in  criminal conspiracy with secessionist and other anti-national entities operating within and outside Jammu &amp; Kashmir.

The FIR indicates that this particular media platform has been allegedly:
•Disseminating terrorist and secessionist ideology,

•Spreading inflammatory, fabricated and false narratives,

•Attempting to radicalise the youth of Jammu &amp; Kashmir,

•Inciting disaffection and separatist sentiments,

•Disturbing peace and public order, and

•Challenging the sovereignty and territorial integrity of India through print and digital content.

In the raid and search were conducted at the office premises of Kashmir Times, located at Residency Road, Jammu, the following incriminating arms and ammunition were recovered:

•01 Revolver

•14 Empty Cases of AK-series weapon

•03 Live AK Rounds

•04 Fired Bullets

•03 Grenade Safety Levers

•03 Suspected Pistol Rounds (apparently)

All recovered items were seized on the spot following due legal procedures. These recoveries indicate possible unlawful possession and suspected linkages with extremist or anti-national elements, warranting further detailed investigation.

House  search of Prabodh Jamwal, the owner of the media house situated at Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, was also conducted in pursuance of the same investigation.

The seized arms, ammunition, digital devices and documents will undergo forensic and technical examination to determine their origin, purpose, and any potential connections to proscribed organizations or individuals. The investigation remains active, and further action shall be taken based on emerging evidence.

1. We have mis-handle the Kashmir issue accept it or not that's the reality. In 1990's we have seen it when it was Outbursted , Top level said no everything fine ...'Sab changa c' , But reporters and people working closely said otherwise, the bitter truth that they (government) still ignores.

3. AFSPA , Special powers given to armed forces, that is harsh if there a Curfew or Instable situation, it's also a problem in Nagaland and Assam. I am not saying that whole afspa is wrong but it needed to flexible and some rule needed to be changed.

There are a few reasons for this. Pakistan has given Kashmir a special status which is allowed to have its own constitution and can elect its own PM although there has been protests in POK because this PM literally has no power and get no funds from center. Further Pakistan never makes the mistake of saying Kashmir belongs to Pakistan, they also hoist kashmiri flags in GB and AK. They always say they are fighting for the rights of Kashmiris. Also the demographics of POK is changed a lot, it's no more purely kashmiri.

While i agree their armed forces has always said Kashmir as part of Pakistan but people out their believes that Pakistan cares about their independence. On other hand India claims it fully to be a part of India. So some those separatist kashmiris who live in India thinks Pakistan cares about their independence, which is laughable considering how many times Pak army has attacked Kashmir without caring for the lives of Kashmiris.

The call for independence and self determination grew exponentially during 80s due to Pakistan realising that they can also break up India just like we helped during Bangladesh’s independence in ‘72. Kashmiri were keen to join Pakistan as they felt they were “helping their cause” plus it being Muslim dominated, so they’re leaning towards Pak more. What surprises me is that Kashmiris talk about they being culturally different compared to rest of India, I just don’t understand what similarities do they find with our shitty neighbours besides religion - of which again they’re not exactly part of - Kashmiris are Shia while Pakistan is mostly Sunni. You may ask what is stopping them from going over to PoK, they can technically go there even now as folls have families that aide. But reality is, for Pakistan, it was never about the people to begin with. Pakistan realized the geographical significance of the region early after independence when they first attacked it. Indian side of Punjab controls water that flows to Pakistan. If Pakistan get their hands on Kashmir valley, they can tap into the Himalayan water resources
