Funnily the reason for the rise is the deal PTI did with the TTP that led them to regain strength and the issues they are causing now. Making peace with them was the biggest strategic blunder ever. But past is the past and I hope now everyone knows we need to do what worked these years 2018 - 2022 knew peace because of the hard work of Zarb-e-Azab.

2013-2017, the gradual decline shows uniform policy against terrorism which rooted out terrorists in KpK and Karachi. 

2018-2022 Peace prevailed due to the actions taken in the previous era of PMLN govt. 

2023-2025 These are the fruits of PTIs policies in handling Taliban in Afghanistan, doing some stupid prisoner exchanges, and allowing resettlement in FATA areas and also doing the hastely planned merger of FATA and KPK.

Using Taliban as strategic depth against India was a strategic blunder by Pakistan of the level probably no other state has committed in the post world war period. 
Kargil fiasco was also blunder but it is so only because we faild it, if we had succcceded that would've been a different story. BUT once in the game of so called "stretagic depth" there was no winning regardless of succeeding or failing. If democratic government had been in place, they would have still been wary of Pakistan due to "SD".. Now we have "won" the strategic depth, it's even more dangerous for Pakistan in the form of extremism which is like a virus that infect generations. SD's are used by all the countries for their own interests, but probably our powers that be are the only starategists who used "SD" against their own state. 
Afghanistan is chianed in the "shackles of slavery" by force by Taliban and they are eying for doing the same to Pakistan. Sorry to say but an armed personal from Pakistan had also a version of "tea is fantastic" in kabul in 2021 which is embarrassing for saner minds.

This is a topic I have done a fair bit of research on. The first step is to admit our own errors in backing terrorists to fight as proxies against Afghanistan and India. Then we need to cut off ALL militant ties.

For the ISI there are 2 types of terror groups: 'good' and 'bad'. The good ones are the proxies like I mentioned l, and the bad ones are the ones that conduct attacks in Pakistan, like ttp bla etc. Our army tried to back the good ones and fight the bad ones but these terrorists often had overlaps and alliances within themselves. 

These terror groups use madrassas to brainwash and recruit young men. Secondly to monitor madrassas in the country and shut down those that spread radicalism. We also need to cleanse the ISI of officials that still hold onto the ideas of using terror groups as chess pieces.

There's definitely a way to extricate extremism from our country, but it entails arduous challenges. To begin with, the Pakistani state has to publicly acknowledge and apologize to the people of Pakistan for their failed policy of Jihad. Pakistan Army and ISI funded Terrorist organizations such as Jaish e Muhammad, Lashkar taiba, jamaat ud dawa with enormous money. These organisations, led by Hafiz Saeed, Masood Azhar, and Zaki Ur Rehman lakwi, and now sadly TLP too, hire impoverished class, promising their families an amount they cannot refuse. Then the process of radicalisation begins, with adolescents are inculcated with discriminatory, and hateful ideologies for specific groups.


The scourge of terrorism will only vanish once we send majority of the people in deradicalization programs, Obliterate TTP camps in Afghanistan, and resolve differences with our Baloch brethren so they don't even ever ponder of picking up ammunition against our people.

War theory suggest that for terrorism or insurgency to succeed, it needs 3 pillars. Finances (which your enemies would provide), a cause (like systematic oppression to a particular group), and foot soldiers who believe in that cause to rebel against the country. Pakistan has all three pillars. 
You can't totally cut finances but a real leadership can heal the society so that there is no cause for foot soldiers.

There might be couple or Rafaele lost because Pak Army was fully prepared to protect their territory. Dont confuse Pak army with their economy.

Based on multiple credible international sources most analysts are pointing to a Rafale lost with the most credibility. 

There is no way to confirm unless Dassault or French journelist comes up with some information.

I have lost all hope on the Indian government or media to shed light on this.

France intelligence said Pakistan shot down at least one jet. And that one pilot had safely ejected and was in hospital. That’s all we got out west news wise.

I don't think we can believe Pakistan's claims about the exact number of planes and UAVs shot down, but I do believe the IAF suffered atleast 3 fighter jet losses, one of them being a Rafale. A Russian plane was also shot down, but it's not been confirmed if it was a Mig29 or a Su30 yet. Obviously as the air force conducting the offensive the IAF had a higher risk of losing planes from the get go. F16s are incredibly capable fighters, and while I am unsure of the JF17s, Pak also has air-to-air missiles like the AIM120C and the PL15. None of India's fighters, including the Rafale, considered among the best contemporary fighter jets, have stealth capabilities, so they're easy targets- they would've been flying at lower altitudes too.

There's a photo circulating on the internet of what seems to be the tail of an IAF Rafale- BS001, which was the first Rafale delivered to India. I'm skeptical about its veracity, the piece of the plane seems to cleanly cut to be real, but also does not seem artificial. A French official has also confirmed that one Rafale has been lost. We can't be sure till the IAF confirms.

What I'm worried about isn't an all-out war, it's terrorism. The global community can keep the military in check, but terrorists are a different ballgame. Pakistan is maybe the best in the world when it comes to creating these proxy jihadists who can attack our civilian centers. I'm worried about a terrorist threat within India, with the regions, geographies, and cultures in India, surveillance is even harder. Like, how do you even track an extremist who might be planning an attack on a crowded place with a population in billions and enough extremists within our own soil! What if they enter the country from Bangladesh, Nepal, or the sea? Like... Pakistan is going to retaliate. I do trust our forces, but Phalgam happened, and nobody was around. What is to say the attacks can't come into the mainland? Mumbai happened and shook the nation. I am paranoid about this enough that I'd give up some basic privacy to have security.

Strange how a supposed "French intel" leak conveniently lands with CNN, hardly a neutral party, just when the US is nudging India to ditch Rafales for their jets. Smells more like narrative-shaping than verified intel.

Our armed forces have earned public trust by not playing with facts, unlike Pakistan, which thrives on disinformation. Remember Galwan. India acknowledged casualties on both sides from the start. China, on the other hand, denied, delayed, and downplayed until it was forced to concede.

Even in painful situations like the 2019 friendly fire incident, the IAF didn’t hide it. Court martial proceedings of the Group Captain involved were reported in the media. Ok first off the focus should be on pak hypocrisy who claim to be champions of muslims and are instead killing muslims civilians who reside in the border area .
